一、「2015年第1屆世界12強棒球錦標賽」訂於本（104）年11月9至21日由臺灣及日本共同舉辦，並由2014年世界棒球排名前12強球隊獲得參賽權。主辦單位中華民國棒球協會訂於11月10至16日安排預賽10場以及八強賽2場於本市國際棒球場舉辦，四強準決賽則於11月19至21日移師至日本舉行。
二、旨揭賽事有來自日本、美國、古巴、荷蘭、多明尼加、加拿大、南韓、波多黎各、委內瑞拉、義大利、墨西哥及臺灣等12個國家參賽，且均有國際媒體抵台進行轉播，勢必將吸引國內（外）眾多棒球愛好者前往觀賽，屆時將是一票難求。
三、故旨揭賽事規劃於「預賽」免費提供本市公私立各級高中(職)、國中、國小學生及帶隊老師進場觀賽，相關規定及說明如下:
(一)以校為單位，由老師帶隊，以團進團出方式進出場。
(二)學生須著校服及攜帶桃樂卡方能進場。
(三)須於預觀賽前一天，以電話通知方式將帶隊老師姓名、電話及觀賽人數相關資訊提供本局，俾利安排。
