本校建立於西元1975年，位於桃園縣境之西北角，東北距台北約50公里程，東至桃園約23公里，東南到中壢約14公里，南至新竹則有約50公里，西北到台灣海峽僅2公里，是台灣與中國大陸的一個近距離地點。也因此造成本地冬季強冷風的天氣現象。全校校地面積廣達39,200平方公尺，在桃園縣國中小當中，算是大面積的學校。本校有7棟建築物，大約有50個房間，分別做為教室、辦公室、圖書室、廚房，或學生活動場所。
最讓我們覺得欣慰的是我們有一個寬廣的運動場，超過10000平方公尺的草坪及8個標準的跑道可讓學生們運動奔跑，發洩體能、學習運動技能，學習如何與他們和平相處、公平競爭，也提供場所讓附近民眾、或家長晨間運動或黃昏散步。
