一. 世界衛生組織指出過重與肥胖是造成糖尿病、心血管疾病與癌症等慢性病之主要危險因子。依據衛生福利部國民健康署「102年國民健康訪問調查」，本市過重或肥胖比率6至11歲為30.8%，12至17歲為35.2%，成人(18至64歲)為43.6%，顯示肥胖防治實為重要議題。
二. 活動參加對象：
１、年齡6至未滿18歲兒童及青少年，依衛生福利部國民健康署兒童及青少年生長身體質量指數(BMI)建議值之過重或肥胖者(附件6)。
２、年齡18至64歲成人皆可參與，惟孕婦、BMI小於20者，不予納入。
３、經醫師診斷不適參加體重管理者，不得參加。
